Course description

Administering NGINX for Web Services is a new and updated version that is designed to replace the historic NGINX Core curriculum. Administering NGINX for Web Services contains many changes and enhancements that ensure a smoother transfer of foundational NGINX knowledge to the attendee.
Note: Administering NGINX for Web Services is critical for all NGINX product users, as these concepts and practices form the base of the other products in the NGINX family.

Administering NGINX for Web Services is a hands-on exploration of NGINX in which attendees will first learn the concepts and important details of a topic and then use the newly redesigned hands-on labs to get real experience with that part of NGINX technology.  Administering NGINX for Web Services is designed and built to ensure that upon completion, attendees are ready to understand and utilize other NGINX products.

Administering NGINX for Web Services consists of modules, which include instructional lessons, knowledge checks, and hands-on labs. You can return to them as often as you please. Hands-on labs are provisioned when you choose to launch that lab. You'll have access to each lab for plenty of time to complete that lab in one sitting.
Instructor-Led Administering NGINX for Web Services and Administering NGINX for Web Services (Self-Directed Training) cover the same content, with the main difference being the live delivery versus the on-demand flexibility to consume when convenient.

Prerequisites:
Administering NGINX for Web Services (Self-Directed Training) is the foundation of your NGINX training. As such, no prior NGINX training is required. The course assumes a basic understanding of networking, web servers, HTTP, load balancing, caching, proxying, and related concepts.
Hands-on labs are performed on a graphical desktop in a Linux environment. The lab materials are located on the Desktop and can be launched easily in a viewer and positioned for ease of copy and paste and step-by-step execution of the labs.

Attendees will additionally need to be able to navigate the file system from the command line and edit configuration files using VI/VIM. Additional experience with Linux environments will be helpful.
